Lippard, General Manager and Certified Firearms Appraiser for Perazzi USA states "The receiver of this SCO is EXTRA in that the gun was commissioned by Mr. Daniel Perazzi and Lucio Sosta and has engraving very uncommon to other Perazzi guns. The engraver selected was Angelo Galeazzi. He is considered the finest gun engraver of our time." it also states " The type of work performed on the gun was a BEST WORK effort of Mr. Galeazzi." Also, important to note "The buttstock and foreend wood are well figured and personally selected for the gun by Mr. Perazzi and Lucio Sosta from Mr. Perazzi's private reserve......The above described shotgun is a BEST GUN effort finest factory effort. There have been less than three such efforts in the past 10 years of record therefore, the gun is very rare" The letter closes with an appraisal value expected to be in the $35,000 range by Feb. 1, 1991. An interesting note, previous owner was good friends with Lucio Sosta, Master gunsmith of Perazzi USA for many years.
